To protect the privacy of Teachdeme users and optimize user experiences, Teachdeme has developed this Privacy Policy in accordance with current regulations and policies, which will detail Teachdeme’s policies and practices in obtaining, managing as well as protecting users’ personal information.  This Privacy Policy applies to all services Teachdeme has to offer, whether you obtained Teachdeme services through a computer device, mobile terminal or other devices.

 

This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand data we collect, why we collect it and how we protect it.  We hope you will take time to read through until fully understanding and accepting contents within this Privacy Policy before usage of Teachdeme services.  We most certainly know you will make the right choice, according to your personal understanding.  nbsp;Once you initiate usage of services of Teachdeme platform, you have agree with what we have described from top to bottom in this Privacy Policy.  By continuous usage of our products and/or services after updating this Privacy Policy, you are agreeing (with updated versions) with our personal information toward collecting, using, storing and sharing relevant information of yours.

 

2)  How we collect and use personal information

 

We understand the importance of your personal information and know providing effective protection of your information is the cornerstone of our business’s healthy and sustainable development.  “Thank you for your use and trust in Teachdeme platform!  We are committed toward maintaining your trust in us, abide by applicable law and commitments upon you, with our utmost efforts of ensuring safe and reasonable usage of your personal information.  We solemnly declare of applying appropriate security measures to protect your personal information in accordance with the industry’s mature security standards.

 

We collect and use your personal information only for purposes described in this Privacy Policy.  If you do not provide any relevant information, you will not be able to enjoy products and/or services in which we provide.  Features will include:

 

1. User’s registration

 

When registering your Teachdeme account, you need to provide us with at least an account name, mobile phone number and email address before we proceed to verify of your identity being valid, by sending a verification code to you for further confirmation.

 

In order to improve our products and services, we can provide you with information display as well as search services, suiting individual needs.  You also need to provide an identifiable information, whether you are an employee, student, company or a headhunter.  If you already have a job, you are then required to provide your company name, position and time served.  If you are a student, you are then required to provide school name, major, level of education and duration in between.  If you are a company or headhunter, you are then required to provide your name, address, position, experience and qualification.  As we will extract from your browsing and search preferences, behaviors and location based on search history, device information, location information and reviewed information.  Features such as information, profile images based on tags, display, pushed information and possible commercials.  If you forbid to provide required information, your browsing and searching experiences will not be influenced through either web or wap pages.

 

You can modify your account name,profile photo, gender and related account information such as your work experience or educational background, or you can set a password and bind an email address for account login.

 

Your account name, profile photo, work experience, educational background and profile are publicly displayed on your personal homepage.  you can turn off the display of your personal homepage function through the “Privacy Settings” function.  Upon closing, other users will not be able to see or have access your personal information, except for account name and profile photo.

 

2. Teachdeme certified

 

When you are using Teachdeme’s charging service, if you wish have authorized rights of services, in order to guarantee the quality of service you provide and the security of the platform from users, you need to complete the Teachdeme certification to use this service.  You will be required to provide your real name in full, ID number or passport number, employment status/information, email, phone or work card and fill-in appropriately under personal profile in order to be rewarded with a Techdeme certification.  We will then solemnly promise to adopt according to the industry’s mature safety standards corresponding security measures to protect your personal information.

 

3. Payment functionality

 

After paying for an order, you can choose a payment service provided by a third-party payment source (including Apple Pay, WeChat Pay, Alipay, etc., hereinafter referred to as “payment source) through Teachdeme.  The payment function itself does not collect your personal information, but we need to share your order number and transaction amount information with payment agencies to enable them to confirm your payment instructions for completing payments.  We solemnly promise to take appropriate security measures to protect your personal information in accordance with the industry’s mature security standards.

 

4. Payment of other collected information within use

 

Device information

 

When you use products and services of Teachdeme platform, we will collect device attribute information, including your hardware model, operating system version, device configuration, unique device identifier, international mobile device identity code IMEI, network device hardware MAC address, advertising identity IDFA, device connection information (type of browser, telecom carrier, language used) and device status information, including device sensor data, device application installation list.  For information collected across your various devices, we may associate them to provide you with consistent service across those particular devices.  We may associate your device information, phone number or email address with your Teachdeme account.

 

Daily information

 

When you use products or services of Teachdeme platform, our servers will automatically record information about your use of our products and/or services, IP address, URL of the service being accessed, the type of browser, the language used, downloaded, installed or used information about mobile applications and software information communicated with communication software.  Most importantly, date, time and the duration of access to the service.

 

Location information

 

When you use products or services of Teachdeme platform with location capabilities and as you turn on device location and use our location-based services, we may collect and process information about your actual location.  From such an approach, you will not be required to manually entering your geographic coordinates to acquire related services.  As we use a variety of technologies for positioning, including IP address, GPS and other sensors to provide relevant information about nearby devices, Wi-Fi access points and based stations.  You can stop collecting your location information by turning off location, but you may not be able to collect relevant information, such as company/job recommendation or search service features.  However, your normal browsing of other service features on Teachdeme platform will not be affected.

 

Unique application serial number

 

Certain products and services contain unique application numbers in which are associated with installation and activation, update, uninstallation of related products and services, or when these products and services are regularly associated with Teachdeme (such as software updates).  Information including operating system type and application version number will be sent to Teachdeme.

 

Resume information

 

Since Teachdeme offers job search and recruitment services, you can upload your micro resumes and portfolios into our database.  Recruiting companies or people who uses Teachdeme’s corresponding services by registering or paying would enable you to find your resume through our database.  Upon improving your resume and professional advantageous highlights as Teachdeme displays your information publicly, you have agreed for others to have legally permitted rights to inquire the use of your resume with permission from a recruiting enterprise or personnel, who legally uses Teachdeme’s corresponding services.

 

Use of camera

 

You may use such additional feature to complete, capture photos and scan code for login functionality.

 

Access mobile photo album

 

You may upload your photos with Teachdeme to participate in company reviews, post topic updates, questions and answers.  We collect photos for the purpose of content display only.

 

Using microphone

 

You may use microphone directly for voice assistance and answering questions.  Within these functions, we will collect your recordings for enriching your user experience through smoothing answer and/or help.

 

Retrieve contacts or Weibo friends

 

In order to increase your social enjoyment on Teachdeme workplace community, with your consent, we will collect your address book information or social media (including, but not limited to Facebook, LinkedIn, WeChat, etc.) friends.  This way, you can determine whether your friends are also users of Teachdeme and establish a communication connection on Teachdeme.

 

5. We collect your personal information through indirect access

 

When you access Teachdeme related party and partner services through our products and services, you have agreed for us to receive, use, aggregate and analyze your personal information from our affiliates and partners, based on actual business and cooperation needs.  Users who sign up to register for offline events of Teachdeme will be equivalent with agreeing for us to use personal information and photos at events for marketing intentional purposes.  

 

6. Customer service functions

 

We may use your registered contact information, including your mobile phone number and email address to communicate or interact with you directly.  You may be notified when an account is found to be abnormal.  In order to ensure the security of your account, customer service will use your account information to verify your identity upon accepting your feedback.

 

7. Improving products and enhancing service experiences

 

We may collect your browsing information, search history, hobbies, which can be set in your profile, contributing to community content for data analysis to form user portraits with responses to invitations for participating in surveys to enrich product experiences.

 

8. Retrieving personal information from a third-party

 

We may obtain your authorized and shared account information  from a third party and bind your third-party account to your Teachdeme account after you have agreed to this Privacy Policy for logging in directly through a third-party account and access our products and/or services.  We will use your personal information in accordance with the agreement with third-parties, the legality of sources of personal information, the compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

 

9. Displaying and recommending customized content

 

We may provide customized content through utilizing information collected, including:

 

Displaying and recommending advanced relevant information search results, instead of ordinary search results or information flow.

 

Sending you emails, SMS, news or pushed notifications.

 

A service-related announcement will be sent to you when necessary (for example, when a service is suspended, due to system maintenance).

 

You may not be able to cancel these announcements, which are related to services.

To improve the security of products and services provided by our affiliates and partners of Teachdeme, we may use your information for authentication, customer service, security, fraud monitoring to prevent, detect, investigate acts of fraud, security, illegality or violation of agreements, policies or rules to protect legitimate rights of you, users or Teachdeme affiliates, partners and the public.

Upon requiring the use of information for other purposes, which are not covered by this Privacy Policy, we will ask for your consent before using information for other specific purposes.  However, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, in following cases, we may collect and use necessary personal information without your authorized consent, such as:

 

Directly related to national security and national security defense;

 

Directly related to public safety, public health and major public interests;

 

Directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgements;

3) How cookie and similar technology is used

 

Cookies and similar technologies are common technologies on the internet.  When you use “Teachdeme” and related services, we may use technology to send one or more cookies or anonymous identifiers to your device to collect and store information about your access to and use of the product. We use cookies and similar technologies primarily to implement the following features or services:

 

1. Safeguarding safe and efficient operation of products and services

 

We may set a cookie or an anonymous identifier that authenticates and secures, allowing us to confirm you are safely logged into the service or if you are experiencing misappropriation, such as misappropriation or fraud.  These technologies will also help us improve service efficiency and increase login and response speed.

 

2. Help you achieve an easier access experience

 

Using this type of technology to help you eliminate the need of repeating steps and the process of filling in your personal information, entering your search content (recording your search history).

You can limit the use of cookies by Teachdeme, by changing your browser settings.  For example, in Chrome browser, you can choose to clear your cookies by clicking “Settings – Advanced – Clear Browsing Data” in the drop-down menu at the top right-hand corner of the Chrome browser.

 

4) How sharing, transferring and publicly disclosing personal information is accomplished

 

We will not reveal, share or transfer your personal information to any other third-party unless you have previously authorized a consent, except personal information shared or transferred is de-identificated and cannot be re-identified by the third party.  

 

 

1. Sharing

 

We will treat your information with a high degree of diligence and will not share your information with any company, organization or individual other than Teachdeme and its affiliates without your consent, except under the following circumstances

 

a) Sharing related features or services with related parties

 

When you use functions under “direct-hiring” and “headhunting”, in order to ensure the consistency of services you receive between our products provided by us and related parties and to facilitate unified management of your information, we will reveal your personal information upon identifying with related affiliates.

 

b) Sharing with business partners to achieve specific functionality

 

When a software service provider, smart device provider or system service provider works with us to provide you with services, when you need to use the geolocation function, we may collect your location information and related device information, including hardware model, operating system version, International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI), network device hardware address (MAC) is de-identified and provided to the aforementioned provider.

 

c) Helping to participate in related activities

 

When you choose to participate in our related activities or events, your registered information (including your name, mailing address, contact information, bank account information, etc.) will automatically authorize for Teachdeme to properly utilize your provided information for business purposes while also authorizing for us to share the above information with other third-parties, entrusting a third-party to provide services to you in a timely manner as well. 

 

Currently, our authorized partners include the following types:

 

Service platform or service provider

Teachdeme products are connected to the wealth of third-party services.  When you choose to use this third-party service, you automatically authorize for us to provide the designated information to a third-party service platform or service provider for serving you, based on relevant information.

 

Software/hardware/system service provider

When a third-party hardware/software/system product or service is combined with Teachdeme’s products and services to you, we will provide third-party hardware/software/system service providers with personal information necessary to enable you to use the service.  Or use it to analyze the use of our products and services to enhance your experience.

 

We may share processed information that cannot identify you and cannot be recovered by the recipient, including anonymized user portraits, with advertising or consulting service providers or advertisers to help them improve the effective reach rate of advertisements and analyze the usage of our products and services without identifying you personally.

 

2. Transfer

 

We will not transfer your personal information to any other company, organization or individual, other than Teachdeme and its affiliates, unless under the following exceptions:

 

a) Obtain your explicit authorization or consent in advance

 

b) Meet legal or regulatory requirements, mandatory government requirements or judicial decisions;

 

c) If we or our affiliates involve transactions in mergers, divisions, liquidations or sales of assets or businesses, your personal information may be transferred as part of such transactions and we will ensure such information is transferred.  Confidentiality, require new companies and organizations holding your personal information to continue to be bound by this privacy policy, otherwise, we will require the company and organization to re-submit your authorization.

 

3. Public disclosure

 

We will only publicly disclose your personal information in the following circumstances:

 

a) With your explicit consent;

 

b) Based on laws and regulations, legal procedures, litigation or mandatory requirements of the competent government authorities.

 

4. Exceptions to prior authorization upon sharing, transferring and publicly disclosing personal information under the following situations mentioned below, Teachdeme will not require your consent and authorization:

b) Directly related to public safety, public health and major public interest;

 

c) Directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trail and execution of judgements;

 

d) In immeasurable situations of the life and property of individuals’ legal rights, we are not obligated to require your consent; 

 

e) Personal information that you personally disclose to the public;

 

f) Collecting personal information from legally and publicly disclosed information, such as legitimate news reports, government information disclosure etc.;

 

g) Required to sign and perform the contract according to obligations;

 

h) Required to maintain safe and stable operation of products or services, including discovery, disposal of products or services;

 

i) Other circumstances as stipulated by laws and regulations

 

According to the law, sharing, transfer of personal information being de-identified and ensuring data recipient cannot recover and re-identify the subject of personal information, does not belong to external sharing, transfer and public disclosure of personal information, such data saved and process will not require additional notice and your consent.

 

5) How personal information is saved and protected

 

1. Validity

 

Throughout your use of Teachdeme products and services, we will continue to store your personal account information for you.  Information communicated is kept for a minimal of 3 days.  If you cancel your account or voluntarily delete information, we will save your information in accordance with laws and regulations, such as the Cyber Security Act.  We will no longer commercialize your personal information after your account cancelation or voluntarily deleting information, but we may use your personal information for anonymization.

 

2. Saving territory

 

Your personal information is stored in the territory of the People’s Republic of China.  If products or services involve cross-border, we need to transmit your personal information overseas and will strictly follow rules and regulations, ensuring the security of your personal information.

 

a) In general, we only retain your personal information for the shortest duration necessary to achieve purposes.  In the following cases, we have the ability to change the storage time of personal information as required by law.

 

To comply with applicable laws and regulations and other relevant regulations;

 

Compliance with court decisions, rulings or other legal procedures;

 

To comply with the requirements of relevant government agencies or statutory authorized organizations;

 

We have reasons to believe we need to comply with relevant laws and regulations;

 

Necessary for the protection of personal services or other legitimate rights and interests of our customers with reasons, as our or our affiliates, other users or employees’ personal and property safety or other legitimate rights and interests are reasonably necessary.

 

When products or services cease to operate, we will notify you by, for example, push notifications, announcements, etc. and delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable duration.

 

3. Safety precautions  

 

We have taken reasonable and practicable security measures to protect your information and prevent unauthorized access, public disclosure, use, modification, damage or loss of personal information.  For example, when you exchange data between your browser and the server being protected by SSL protocol encryption, we also provide HTTPS protocol to secure browsing mode for Teachdeme website.  We will sue encryption technology to improve the security of personal information and use trusted protection mechanisms to prevent personal information from being maliciously attacked.  We deploy access control mechanisms to ensure only authorized personnel have access to personal information and conduct security training courses to enhance the importance of protecting personal information among employees.

 

a) We will take reasonable and practicable measures, trying our best to avoid collecting irrelevant personal information.  We will only retain your personal information for the period of time required to achieve purposes stated in this policy, unless the law has a mandatory retention requirement.

 

b) The Internet is not an absolute secure environment.  When using Teachdeme platform service, we strongly recommend for you to not use communication methods recommended by non-Teachdeme platforms to send your information, but connect and share among each other through our services.  Upon creating communication and sharing through our services, you can choose the party to communicate and share with, as a third-party who can view your contact information, exchange information or share content.

 

c) When communicating on Teachdeme web services, please protect your personal information and provide to others only when necessary.  If you spotted of your personal information, especially account and/or password has been compromised, please contact us immediately through our published contact information for us to apply proper action, based on your application.

 

4. Please note for the information you voluntarily share or even share publicly when using our services may involve personal information or even sensitive information about you or others, such as uploading images containing personal information when you comment or communicate.  Please consider carefully with what you share when sharing information publicly when using our services.  Please use complex passwords to help us keep your account secure.  We will do our absolute best to protect the security of any information you send to us.

 

5. Security incident notification

 

a) We will formulate cyber security incident contingency plans to deal with system vulnerabilities, computer viruses, cyber-attacks, network intrusions and other security risks in a timely manner.  In the event of a network security breach, we will immediately launch an emergency plan, take appropriate remedial measures and follow regulations before reporting to relevant authorities.

2. Correcting personal information

 

You are entitled to make corrections or updates to wrong or incomplete information.  You can simply make corrections upon “Accessing Your Personal Information”.  For security reasons, we will verify your identity before you are authorized with the right to make any changes to information.

 

3. Deleting personal information

 

In the following cases and/or upon your desire, you may request us to delete your personal information.  You can contact us at any time through “Contact Us”:

 

a) If we violate laws and regulations or agree with you to collect, use, share or transfer your personal information:

a) You can cancel binding relationships between your Teachdeme account and the third-party account through PC in “Account Settings”.

 

b) You can turn off the location, address book, camera, microphone, etc. within the operating system of your device for changing the consent range or withdraw your authorization.

 

c) When you withdraw your consent or authorization, we will not be able to continue to provide you with the service to withdraw your consent or authorization and will not process your corresponding personal information.  However, your decision to withdraw your consent or authorization will not affect the process of previous personal information, based on your consent or authorization.

 

5. Logging Out of an Account

 

You can cancel your application through Teachdeme’s PC, mobile terminal or submit a cancellation request through “Contact Us”.  Once you log out of your Teachdeme account, it is crucially important for you to acknowledge the fact in which you no longer be able to use all of Teachdeme’s products and services, nor will you be able to retrieve any information related to your account, including account balances.  Therefore, please proceed with caution!

 

In order to protect legitimate rights of you and/or others, we will determine whether to support your cancellation request in conjunction with your use of Teachdeme products and services.  For example, if you have an unclaimed Teachdeme consultation fee within your Teachdemew account, or if your Teachdeme account is frozen, based on an exception and is not thawed, we may not support your request immediately.

 

6. Knowing in advance of products and services being out of service

 

Teachdeme is willing to accompany and always be there for you.  If Teachddeme platform products and services are forced to stop operating, due to special reasons, we will send you an email or other suitable information on the main page or station of the product and/or service in accordance with laws and regulations of notifying you in a way to reach you and will stop collecting your personal information and will delete or anonymize your personal information held in accordance with the law.

 

7. Responding to your requests

 

To be safe, you will need to provide a written request or otherwise prove your identity.  We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request.

 

In principle, we do not charge fees for your reasonable request, but we will charge a certain fee for repeated requests in which exceed a reasonable limit.  For those who are unreasonably repetitive, requesting for too much technical means (for example, need to develop new systems or fundamentally change existing practices), pose risks to the legal rights of others or are very impractical (for example, involving information stored on backup tapes) requests, we hold the right to refuse.

Teachdeme highly values the importance of protecting minors’ information.

 

Based on the nature of our products, websites and services, we do not provide services to underage minors who are under the age of 16.  Therefore, no relevant information is collected under the age group mentioned.  If you are a minor who is 16 or older and under 18 years of age, please seek a guardian to read this privacy policy carefully and use our products and/or services with the consent of your guardian or providing us with further information.

11) Dispute resolution

 

This Privacy Policy and the User Agreement of Teachdeme together forms the basic agreement/document for your use of the Teachdeme service.  This Privacy Policy applies to the current laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China.  If you have any disputes related to this Privacy Policy or are dissatisfied with our response or solution and need to be resolved through legal means, the dispute shall be submitted to the Shanghai Arbitration Commission and the arbitral award shall be final.

 

 

Appendix 1:  Definition

 

Specific words used in this Privacy Policy include the following meanings:

 

A) “We” or “Teachdeme” refers to Shanghai Woke Talent Service Co., Ltd. and Seconds Education Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.

 

B) “You” or “User” means registered users who use our products and services, being purchasers of paid services.

 

C) “Teachdeme” or “Teachdeme Platform” refers to various offline activities, organized by Teachdeme website (https://www.teachdeme.com) and Teachdeme mobile client and Teachdeme.

 

D) “Teachdeme related parties, partners” means our affiliates, investors, partners, other trusted third-party suppliers, service providers and agents.

 

E) “Our Products and Services” or “Teachdeme Platform Products and Services” means websites, programs, services, tools and clients including, but not limited to Teachdeme.

 

F) “Personal Information” means any information recorded electronically or otherwise can identify a particular natural person or reflect the activity of a particular natural individual, either alone or in combination with other information.  Personal information includes personal basic information, personal identification information, personal biometric information, network identity information, personal health and physiological information, personal education work information, personal property information, personal communication information, contact information, personal online records, personal equipment information, personal location information, etc.  For the avoidance of doubt, personal information includes, but is not limited to personally sensitive information.

 

G) “Personal information subject” means the natural person identified by personal information.

 

H) “Personal Sensitive Information” means personal information, if compromised, illegally provided or misused, may endanger personal and property safety and may easily lead to personal reputation, physical or mental health damage or discriminatory treatment.  Personal sensitive information includes personal property information, personal health and physiological information, personal biometric information, personally identifiable information, network identified information, etc.

 

I) “De-identification” refers to the process of making personal information unable to identify, being the subject of personal information without the use of additional information.

 

J) “Anonymization” refers to the process of revealing for personal information subjects to be unrecognizable and unrecoverable through the technical processed information.

 

K) “China” means the Mainland of the People’s Republic of China, only for the purpose of this privacy policy and does not include Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region and the region of Taiwan.
